Last night, I downloaded a Curtiss Hawk III for
CFS2/FS2002. But when I unzipped it, it was missing a few
essential files like a .dp and an aircraft.cfg file. Does
anybody else who got the plane have these files?

I realize FS2002 doesn't need the same files as CFS2, but
the airplane is clearly marked for use with CFS2. I wonder
if something went wrong. Tried downloading it again from
here and another location with the same result.

If anybody else got the full download, please let me know!

Looking forward to flying this bird. It's really beautifully made!

Its been along time, but as I recall you had to download the first posting of this aircraft for all other postings of this aircraft to work.  Back search the CFS2 download pages and find its first posting, or look for it at "Flightsim.com".

I downloaded the only one I could find to check it out. Denis is quite right, I copied this from the file ID & it's also in the file description on the download page. Quote:
The Curtiss Hawk III model 68C - CAF Aces 1937  Version 1.x Required

Only problem being I can't find Version 1. Roll Eyes

I've been on a mad search for version 1 also.  It was once posted at Flightsim.com, but I took a quick look there and couldn't find it!!  Although the Hawk III file (13353 K) posted at Flightsim.com is much larger than the Hawk III file (2905 K) posted here at Simviation.  Perhaps the Hawk III file at Flightsim.com includes the first version.

If anyone finds version 1, I would like a copy also.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks Hagar as well. I have been trying to build a Sino-Japanese war Hangars for years. By now I have over fifty planes. This one look real good.

Check  out the Sim-outhouse web. They have several planes too. They also have Airfields for that theater as well done by a gentelman who I think calls himself Xavier..

Piloto Azul also have several planes for that Theater. All we need now is a Sreen to compliment it.

Thanks again

Hey James,

Have you collected any cfs2, carrier-based, Japanese
bombers, in use in 1937 in your collection? I think the
Type 99 Val came much later.

With that and the A5M, I could make a Japanese carrier
campaign for the invasion of Shanghai. Gotta love the
A5Ms. Much fun to fly!

RabittHawk I wish I could give one Wedsite where you could find all the planes of this period in time. I have collected this planes over many years.

Here in this Website there several planes that you can download. Go to the download planes sections. There is a nice Bruno Ki27 and Sally Bomber available for a AVG campaign. There are also a nice A5M in Netwing in the AvHistory plane section.

1.http://www.netwings.org/

Also look in their Japanese plane section as well.

You can also look into this Website.  Go to the Pacific section. There is a ki51 in there. Scroll down and you will also see a section on Chinense Bombers and Rata 1-16 as well.

http://www.geocities.com/coreacfs/enlaces.htm?20055

Be patient and with time you will increase your Sinno Japanese war planes collection.

Enjoy
