I have a few questions for you guys.

1. I saw the other day the Fire Power addon for CFS3 on a PC game store. I thought of buying it but decided to wait a few days. When I went to buy it was sold already. Now I regret it.

I read in other forum that it only included new planes but it also has a MB and world terrain included in it.

Now thats is interesting. Is that true?

If it is. where can I find it so I can buy it.

2. You have mention the MAW for almost a year. When do you think it will be release and how do you plan to release it.

What are your plans after the MAW projects.

3. I read on the CFS2 forum that the Defunk CFS4 did not include carriers or Korea and Vietnam. What did it included and what was its format before it was canceled.

Why was it canceled?

Thank you

If you still want FP try going to amazon.com thats where I got mine.  I love it as it gives you many more planes and that option to fly heavy bomber campaigns.  Make sure you download the patches as it upgrades the effects slightly and gives you the B-24.  As to the MB don't know haven't tried using it, I mainly freeload off the superior work of others. Grin  CFS4 will never happen, at least as MS is concerned.  MAW if I remember correctly will be out later this year as will the first installation of OFF.  Wish I could answer the rest of the questions for you.  Hope that helps somewhat.

1)
- There is already a Mission Builder available at the M$ cfs3 site
http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/

- World Terrain : no. It has the default cfs3 Theatre, ie. Most of Western Europe.

- new planes : yes. Check the latest threads at Simhq, that's the home of the Firepower developers.

- don't know where to buy it, sorry.

2) Note : I'm not a member of the MAW team, but that's what I read in forums.
No ETA has been given so far. We all hope for a release this year. I'm not in any hurry. These guys are working hard, for free, and they have a commendable desire to do their best. If it means to be patient, that's no problem for me, I know they'll do the cfs3 community proud.
The plans of the developers is then to enjoy their creation, and they'll surely deserve it!

MAW will be downloadable, but given the size of the whole thing, a CD swap scheme is being planned.

Meanwhile, you'll have another free add-on to enjoy your cfs3 with. No ETA as well.

NB : the server is down for the moment, but check the link later.

3) Don't know.

The AvHistory 1% team will continue to develop & release aircraft outside the large projects as long as CFS3 is an attractive platform for us to work with.

Specific content & reasons for the cancellation of CFS4 can not be discussed due to signed NDA's which MS takes very seriously.

I posted a few screen shots a while back to prove a point that it was visually superior to CFS3 & got my butt singed, very politely,  but singed never the less by the powers to be.

James, something else you might want to consider if you enjoy the fun of just flying.

Shockwave, the guys who made the Fire Power addon (and are working on a new release of Battle of Britain), have made some excellent packages for FS2004.

Their "Wings of Power", which gives you a field of heavy bombers and German jets, is unbelieveable.  The 3D models are extraordinary and the flight models are the best on the market. Combined with the excellent worldwide terrain and total weather control of FS2004, it's as good as it gets.

If you want a real flight challenge, spend a little time getting used to a B-29 with realistic (over)loading from a minimum length runway and using real world weather conditions WITH FULL REALISM.

Most people are surprised at just how difficult ground handling alone is; wait till you get to take off and landing.  There is nothing arcade about this (although one of the noobs who worship the "other" combat sim claimed it was no real challenge at all.  Sure, and the English Navy was at Pearl Harbor.).

Then you can do the same thing with the B-17 (several models), the B-24 (several models), the Privateer and the Lancaster.  All of them can be a pleasure to learn to fly.

It's not as flashy as a true combat flight sim ( and yes, CFS3 with Fire Power is well worth it) but you might enjoy the "real world" feel of it.

Thank you guy for all your reponse. You guys and all you members of all three communities are great.

You have made this experience a great one. With out  you all, this hooby would have dead a long time ago.

As for your swap Idea. I think it would only hurt your effort for all as us to enjoy your great work.

I would not know how to swap with others and I beleive I"am not the only one.

Just divide it in defferent down load sections and will work just fine.

I really appreciate all you hard work and dedication in this project. It shows how much you love this hooby.

Any body who loves World war two aviation as much as I love it, its all right with me.

Thank again
