Check it out my work on my concorde. My first project.
As you can see my smoothing groups are messed.
But I have windows and doors and flaps and all that. I have not started on my noise and I still have to do my engine. Then it will  be working on gear and interior. A lot of work to go but a great start. i have worked about rufly 6 hours. That is purty fast and i still have a great model. I am planing to have a great vc. There will be 3 repaints. British airways, french airways, and the pepsi repaint.

Quite good for a few hours work.

Detail purists could start picking nits, but a very good representation at this stage.

Out of curiosity,  I note the cabin windows are "intruded"  Did you form them with a shape merge?

Good eyes felix. yes i did use shape merge. took me a will to clone the splines. The concorde acturly has round edges at the corners of the windows. This would add to
many pointless polys. I would have but the concorde panel is going to be huge. Smiley

In that case, my suggestion would have been be to texture the windows instead of modelling them.

Of course, if you want to provoke the ire of many flightsimmers, just go for a windowless Concorde, and call it the "Express Cargo" version ... <snicker>

Or just put the windows in the textures.

If you aren't having reflective textures, you could even make them transparent using the alpha channel.

well I am the kind of modler that can keep major polys down and still keep a great plane. I am making reflective
textures so i dont want alpha channels. I hate planes
without windows. When a plane is so large like the airbus a 380 or boeing 747 it doesnt rilly matter. but in a plane like this it does to me. im guessing 7 to 8 thousand polys when im dun including my vc. Smiley

the tip of the wing to fuse joint looks a bit weird.. you might want to correct that.

looks good.

Personally i feel modelling is something that cannot be rushed, and must be taken a step at a time.
