...probably appreciated by the Brits most of all (anyone who knows who Harry Ramsden is...)...

Anyway,

A new employee at the zoo is given three jobs to do.

First he has to clear the exotic fish pool of weeds. As he does so, a huge fish jumps up and bites him so he beats it to death with his spade. Realising that his employer won't be pleased, he gets rid of the fish by feeding it to the lions.

Then, clearing out the chimp house, he is attacked by the chimps. He kills two of the chimps with his spade, and again gets rid of them by feeding them to the lions.

Finally, he has to collect honey from the South American bees. Unfortunately, they attack him and wielding his spade he smashes them to a pulp and feeds them to they lions.

Later that day, a new lion arrives at the zoo. He asks the others, "What's the food like here?". The lions reply "Absolutely brilliant. Today we had fish and chimps with mushy bees!"
