Before you all mention being content with the outstanding planes Eaglesoft offers bear in mind that they lack fully functional FMC's.  There is a large lack of corporate planes in FS but everyone does airliners and I personally like the variety of airports and routes and flexibility that would go along with business flying.  Much more interresting than hub and spoke operations.  We need PIC level biz jets and developers do read the forums.  If this sounds interesting, cast your votes.

We don't need more payware bizjets, we need freeware bizjets. Remember, not all of us by payware (like me) and some of us can't afford it.

The Eaglesoft Citatation X is superb despite the basic FMS that comes with it. It has plenty of features that easily makes up for the lack of "super real FMS".

You'd be surprised to see how advanced the CX really is, much more advanced that the PSS 777/747s.

A good payware aircraft is much more than a FMC  Wink

I agree. The CX is an awesoem plane despite the FMC.



But, If EagleSoft made a Global or Gulfstream 5, I would buy it, as I am one that is more for the visual model rather than the reality of the Cocpit and flight dynamics.

I know a good aircraft is more than a FMS but basically, a good freeware developer can doo systems implementation.  (Fanda Dash-8).  Other than Oleksiy Frolov, I have never seen a freeware artist attempt a programable FMC and just ask Saratoga (ATP).  A lot of a pilots attention is spent on various phases of flight on the FMC. It IS a big part of modern flying.  Just as much as a Carousel or Litton was in the older planes (DC-8, 742, 707, L-1011, DC-10 etc).  What I'm trying to find out is why everybody and his brother does airliners and simulates everything practically but save for Eaglesoft no one does biz jets.  Is it that the market research favors the airliner that much more or is access to most bizjet types for study and research a lot more restrictive?  I'll tell you, if flight 1 or Feelthere or someone did a G350-550 with Honeywell Planeview or a Dassault 700-2000 with Honeywell Epic Ezy avionics I would pay $50 or even high as $60 USD for an add-on like that.  If you don't know already, Planeview and Ezy are basically the same hardware and software but tailored differently for Gulfstream and Dassault.

I have integrated Reality XP's JEt Line 4 gauges, and tailored it so it resembles Rockwell Collins Jet Line 4 (which is installed in many smaller aircrafts, including the G100/200 and Falcon2000EX)

I tell you it really adds alot to the realism.
The FMC is a very handy tool, but you still got to cross check the data generated by it with what is printed in the papers. What I mean by that is: bring the checklists and reference tables and you'll be just fine.
I think your FMC obsession is a little exaggerated...

Well, it might be a little exagerated but it's only in the name of realism and an fms driven by the fs flight planner on a fictional version of the farmin 530 is not how the pro's do it. I only want to elevate it as far above game status as I can and by that it means I just want to do as much of what the pros actually do as possible.  When I fly a route in the 737-NG it's true I run the IFR plan on the fs planner but that's only so ATC recognizes my IFR plan.  After that I print out the navlog and once I'm on the flight deck I go through the checks and enter the navlog info into the FMC as printed. It generally works well except I also refer to my approach plates and choose a star to tack on at the end as well. Whether or not ATC allows me to fly the star or not I have no control over. Half the time when they kick out routing changes I don't even bother executing them through the FMS. I merely just disconnect the FMC and hand operate the a/p.  But, that's not far off track because unless visibility is very poor pros often do it that way as well rather than wrestling with the keypad.  There's nothing wrong with wanting ultimate realism especially on a payware add-on.  They should all be to flight 1's and PMDG's standards.  It's worth $40 plus USD to me for "as real as we can make it at this time".
