Mods, I know this is probably in the wrong section but I need a wider opinion as possible.

Who has a 4 speaker and above (including the .1's) speaker system on there PC?

It's just I am working on the Enzo sounds at the moment and was thinking about releasing a standard EA version of the sounds and a 5.1 EA version.

Just wondered if there would be any takers? You wouldn't need any special kit just the speakers and your sound cards ability to downmix (or upmix in certain cases) or play 5.1 tracks.

I have a high-fi headset and a 150W subwoofer under my desk to make vibrations, no surround sound.

Well you have a 4.1 setup, but it's not a 4.1 surround setup. For that you need 2 front and 2 rear, your sub is just for bass. So the front 2 serve front left and front right aswell as a mix down centre and the 2 rears would provide surround left and surround right.

But you need some sort of Surround decoder on your sound card or external hardware.

The Enzo is an Enzo Ferrari thats being made by Salvador Corrales, I am doing the sounds for it.

2.1 here.  Small flat plus a 32" Widescreen CRT TV and two PC's all setup in a little living room doesn't leave room for any surround sound setup really.

No surround speakers yet, but I have a pair of Kinyo 5.1 headphones which are awesome. The separate amp. unit has ins and outs, so I jump the front left and right channels out to my sub, which passes thru to my 2 speakers. When I want to go surround, I slap on the 'phones and turn down the speaker/sub volume using the small wired volume remote that came w/the sub (Cambridge Soundworks).
I highly recommend the Kinyos; mine cost about $60 US. Damn good surround effect (there are separate speakers in each earpiece for each channel), and I can crank it w/o bothering anybody.
I do want to get a 5.1 speaker system, though- probably a Logitech set (good specs for the money).

6.1 C-media out of my pc! unfortunately the sp/dif cable to go from one side of the basement to the other would cost a pretty penny, and of course my pc is on the opposite end of the room as to where the audio equipment/viewing area is.. Wink

Sound Blaster Audiogy ES w/gameport 5.1 surround w/ Logitec X-530 70 watt system+ 200 watt stereo system, but all of this is soon to be replaced with a JL home audio 300 watt system. Yes it does pay to save forever

So the next question is then, would you like the Ferrari Enzo sound package in 5.1?
