After many hours of assembling and fixing, my new upgrade computer now works. Not only does it work, it runs faster than you can say opteron.
Here's the final specs:

I also finally got many of my games installed. The results are downright impressive though unfortuately some of the games don't install properly including fs2004. Far cry and doom3 do work and they will get overrendered when i finished with them.
not a single quake game works, damnit. would have been nice to see the fps. I think this because of software problems and not hardware and will try again to install tonight.
Knoppix works like a dream and i think i can use it as a main OS finally, maybe even modify it to have winex to run all my directx games from memory. For those that do not know, knoppix is a linuex distribution that boots from a cd and runs on memory. Winex is emulation for directx games for linex. I will be modifying a knopix distro with winex and seeing if i can run a game from within memory. Too bad there's no way of running windows from memory only.

I bet you're wondering what to do with it now
Knoppix is good fun I guess - Frozen Bubble is probably not pushing the limits of your machine though
I think I'll call it a day before I say things i'll regret 8)

Constant 60 FPS (Doom3 runs at no higher than 60) in ultra mode. 16x FSAA forced through (via driver) and 8x AA (forced through driver). I never saw the number 59.
Of course, I hope to bring that number to something like 5 fps. I have been making a outdoor map for doom3 and am waiting to test it.
