Well, here is my pride and joy. You've seen my little crash-n-go foamy, now here is the one that I really DON'T want to crash. lol
It's a GreatPlanes UltraSport 40, one of the last ones available in kit form. Powered by an OS .46LA engine, and the usual Futaba 4 channel radio.
It took me just over two years to build, as it was my junior and senior years of high school, so not too much time (I built my first RC, a SIG Kadet Senior Kit in exactally 30 days.)
I had to replace my original canopy, which I had painted to match the Blue Angels' jets more accurately, but since I got the new one, I haven't had the time to put the details on it. Also, I used to have a little HUD that the pilot looked through... but due to a small fuel spill, it melted the other canopy and HUD.

Unfortunately the covering job I did wasn't too great, and over the years of traveling back and forth to the RC field in a car with no A/C, the plane has developed wrincles all over.

I'm probably gonna have to strip it all off and start over this summer. (Ugh, it took hours puting on the lettering! lol)

Edit
Oh, here is one set of pics I took from a short video of my first two flights with the bird two years ago... and also, this is why you DO NOT test fly new planes in 30+mph GUSTY winds! lol Unless you're like me and LOVE the extra challenge... more fun than aerobatics!
The top one was just one pass... got a good gust to bring the plane up, with a whole lotta nothin' behind it, to drop it like a rock. lol BUT, as you can see, the plane never touched the ground... quick thinking and a nice powerful engine.
As for the first flight at the bottom... the engine died about 5 feet off the ground, and didn't hear it. :p Just kinda ploped on the ground.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you guys my sweetheart.
Enjoy!
