No not a C-130, this:
And for anyone who wondered what I look like, thats me. The camera is an Olympus D-540 with 3x optical zoom plus 7x digital zoom. I took it to my local airport/ANG base to try it out, and these are the only quality shots I managed to get. then the batteries died. Either the AAs that came with it are crap, or this thing uses a lot of power. Anyway, just wanted to show off.

All digicams use alot of power, esp. if you use the LCD often.

Very good. I'll be looking for more shots from you now.
PS. I wouldn't bother with the digital zoom. Use the highest resolution possible & process your shots on the PC. You don't need an expensive graphics editor. I use IrfanView for most of the shots I post here.

First, nice images......but now for the genuine advice.....
Go get yourself a set or two of NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries.........look for a capacity of at least 2000 mah......they'll do that camera fine for more than a days outing............also, go get more memory space..........128 megs will get you around 800 images shot at 1024x768......
The camera is a fine point-and-shoot camera. I know, 'cause I owned a D-490Zoom before I got the one I now shoot with (C-2040Z). The 490 was a predecessor to what you have just acquired. Good choice.

thank you for the advice everyone. Ive noticed the digital zoom didnt really do much aside from making the images big and blurry. Rifleman, I wondered about rechargable batteries, Ill look into it.
