OK, I thought it would be interesting to know what kind of stereo's people have in their car (if any). I remember when I was in high school, getting a custom stereo was something most people did (although I didn't). So, what kind of stereo's do you guys have in your car?
In my case, I only have a stock Delco/Bose stereo in my '96 Camaro. But, it was the best of the three possible stereo systems to come with the car stock. It has a single CD player.
In my 1969 Camaro, I have a modern CD/mp3/wma player. It's an Alpine CDA-9830. For the speakers, I have 2 6x9 Eclipses in the back of the car and I made a custom bracket to hold 2 3.5in round J&L speakers in the middle of the dash (where the sole stock speaker used to be). All in all, its a great yet simple system. I didn't get a amp because I didn't want a sub (I don't like all that bass and I really had no place to put one) and I felt I had no need to amplified speakers. Plus, the system was expensive enough as it was.
Anyway, what kind of stereo's you guys have in your cars?

Alpine is the brand, and it's a simple cassette player with radio tuner. But the best thing is the four speakers which make for a nice sound.

our family van (VW T4 transporter, aftermarket dualcab) has a cheapass radio/cd from the ALDI than can read MP3s and no extra insulation past the front seats so you don't hear a thing in the back when the volume is on a reasonable level up front.
Our previous peugeot 406 wagon had the optional JBL stereo factory option fitted. 6cd changer in the left spares box and a big booster amp in the right one.
