Don't let this happen to F-1

Personally i think if F-1 wants a bigger audience in the US they need another race. They need a track somewhere in the South, maybe Texas or Florida. When it comes to F1 because of its world location the times its show can be unappealing, especially to those who may not be big fans, so the extra race in the US along with Brazil and Canada mean they have 4 races all in a sensible time zone to attract viewers to watch the earlier time races.

Infinion speedway would be awsome for a F-1 venue.  That or Laguna Seca (bit dagerous though).

I don't think that F-1 is looking for more of a US audience.  With 3 new races in the past year being added to the scedule that are no where near the US, they are running out of room for another US venue.
With new technology being distributed to more Asian and Mid Eastern areas, it would be logical to target these areas

Yes but the US is such a large audience. And with the Americans love of Motorsport, it is a logical choice to go there. Mexico is being schedueled to return so that will give North south and central a race each. There is pleanty of space. I personally see winter testing as being way to long, it always has been. Laguna Seca could have held a race perhaps before these new downforce regulations, but i think your right, now it would be a little too dangerous.

I think that the corkscrew would kill everyone.  It would be worse attrition than Monaco

I always though Road America would be a good venue for F1. I think the problem in America now may be upgrading a circuit to keep the F1 people happy, as they'd rather go to places where new super circuits are being built (which all tend to be design by the same bloke and end up being a tad boring).

Also you have to question the value of another US GP - why did it stop happening in the first place back in '91...

Personally i think herman tillke should be fired from F1 circuit design. They are all the same. Couple of long straights and a bunch on sharp corners, that clearly cant be used for passing. The old South African GP at kayalmi was a great circuit. Japan is a great circuit. Silverstone is a great circuit. And the old circuit at Hockenhiem through the forest was great. they gave it to this guy and its crap now.

Glad someone else feels the same way...

Circuits just have no character now. I was a fan of the old Hockenhaim and the old Silverstone (when it was just the old peri track and Woodcote chicane). Tis a shame they continually have to keep changing it. If they hadn't spent so much on fiddling with the track evrey year they could've built some decent facilities at Silverstone!
