I've never made an aircraft model before and I would like to know which program I should use to make them. Can anyone tell some easy-to-use ones? ??? ??? Roll Eyes

Well most people use G-max.Its free but not easy ive been playing with it for close to a month after taking the tutorials and im still struggleing with it.

FSDS2 is a little easier and includes compilers for MSFS 2k4 but its $50

There are no easy to use modelling programs.  That is a figment of everyone's imagination.

The only time a program becomes easy to use is when you're used to using it.

I whole-heartedly agree with Felix that there are no easy to use modeling programs.

In my opinion, I would learn to use Gmax. Should one day you decide that modeling for FS no longer rotates your flaps; you will be well positioned at that point to move into other areas of 3D modeling having learned Gmax instead of FSDS.

I'm not down playing FSDS. If developing for Flight Sim is all you ever plan to do it's a good program. There are a great number of addons that testify to this fact. But, keep in mind that Microsoft didn't offer FSDS with FS2K2 or FS9 it was Gmax. That should be enough to tell you whom they are going to back over the next few generations of FS.  Wink
