U must earn alot to run that babe,

Not really ... you gotta make good financial choices, make sacrifices, save money, and play it right.

Which is a lot harder than it sounds.

I don't have a fast new car. I don't have an entertainment system at home. I don't go in vacation often.
Some things that needed to be done around the house were postponed because of this.
All with my wife's blessing of course (I am quite fortunate in that respect).

It's worth the effort if you can work it out.

If there's a will, there's a way.

Go ahead and gloat; you've earned it. Nice photos, but it makes me wistful. I haven't flown (rentals) in about 2 yrs... trying to tweak the budget so I can get back into it. Never flown a 180... looks like a nice one. New paintjob, or new plane?
As far as owning a plane goes, well, maybe a nearly-run-out Tri-Pacer or Ercoupe someday... or possibly a kitplane. Pretty sure I need a new job first ...

So is that GPS mount STC'd or Field Approved?

No, I'm not FAA, but I do have some experience with GPS mounts, and I'll tell you that if it is held on the yoke by clamps, screws or tie-wraps, the FAA might nab you for it if they have a wild hair.

What is the easy way to get by that? Use velcro!

With the mount you have, it looks like 337 material to me, and probably had G-loading tests and yoke movement checks ect.

What kind of useful load do you get with it?
