Those look more like Royal Marines to me.

The amazing camera footage leads me to believe that these Royal Marines (if that is what they are - they're definately Brits) may have been having a little fun to pass the time... Grin

Which most of them will no doubt try and replace with American kit, just in case the SUSAT on the rifle gets sight of a grain of sand...

(unless they've got the L85/SA80 A2, in which case the extra couple of bits of plastic and the stronger spring will make all the difference...)

It's amazing what H&K can do with even the crummiest of weapons. Bring back the SLR thats what I say. Grin
