You can easily extract it from one of the .cab files - probably on CD1 but I'm not sure which one.  .cab files are just glorified .zip files and there aren't that many of them.

yup look for gauges.cab I believe. The alternative would be to download one of the replacement GPSes here, or by some stroke of luck find a panel with it included.
 

Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

...mmm....sorry I can't help with the 2002 GPS as I only have 2004 and it will be different I guess....there is an alternative GPS for 2002 on this link at Simv.  http://www.simviation.com/fsgauges6.htm ;

If I remember correctly the gauge should be in Aircraft.cab or FS2002.cab on CD-1. If I'm wrong there aren't that many CAB files to look through. You can open CAB files with WinZip. I haven't tried other similar utilities but imagine they work in much the same way. When you find gps.gau extract it in the usual way & paste it into FS2002\Gauges. Overwrite the existing file when prompted.
