i see alot of files that say FS9. what does that stand for?

Also sometimes referred to as:
Flight Simulator 2004, A Century of Flight
or ACOF.
They are all the same thing.

no, absolutely not!
it goes a little something like this:
FS 5 - Flight simulator 95
FS 6 - Flight simulator 98
FS 7 - Flight simulator 2000
FS 8 - Flight simulator 2002
FS 9 - Flight simulator 2004: ACOF
really simple, FS9 (or FS2004) is sold, what, around 40$ now?
P.S. if you plan to get FS2004 now, you won't get the collectors tin, oh well

Got mine for 19.95 at Fry's. Oh no collecter's tin...darn I am absolutely crushed.
Pilot for a major US airline certified in the: EMB-120, CRJ, 727, 737, 757, 767, and A-320 and military, T-38, C-130, C-141, and C-5 along with misc. other small airplanes. Any questions, I'm here for you.

Yup, cheap FS2004. As long as your comp can run it, which can be considered asking a lot, it's a wonderful thing to have!

$150 USD? No way. FS9 was never that high. I remember when I used to browse FS2002.com, the price was $49.99 .
