A few more...
The so-ugly-it's-beautiful AN-2 (world's biggest biplane single).
Nice B-25 (shouldn't that be "DE-Briefing Time"?)
The other side of the B-25. I guess this is the squadron insignia...
The BD-10, a kit (!) 2-place jet. I've decided I really need one of these. It's important. All I gotta do is win the lottery. I think the bare-bones version (which you have to build, of course), with engine, will run you just over half a million$US. Not a bad deal, though, for a jet!
... sorry, no nice pictures of the Mustang...

Don't knock the An-2 Rotty, its about the only thing I can get stick time on these days (when I'm not jumping out of them)
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Hey, don't get me wrong... I like it too (it's not really that ugly), and I envy you
Now, THIS is an ugly airplane:
Don't remember what it is; some kind of Czech ag. plane, I think...

Yes!! LET!! Thanks. Is that as in: "LET someone else fly that"?
Do you know what "Cmelak" means ("bee", maybe? You can't see it well in my photo, but there was a bee painted on the cowling...)?

LOL I posted a shot of one of them things I took at Yeovilton last year. It also turned up the next day at Biggin Hill. The owner seemed quite proud of it.

I think the English translation of Cmelak is Bumble Bee so that would Bee appropriate.

hey man, i used to live in Clifton a few years ago, iworked at LincolnPArk airport as ramprat for wagner airways...i hitched rides to sussex allt he time, specially for the airshow...brings memories..
nice picturesss....i cant see the mustang on pic#1 too clear as in markings an all, but im pretty sure that mustang was here in London(Ontario) last year for the airshow i have a few pix.
i cant believe N4047 is still there
last time i went, i managed to get inside and there were bird nests everywhere and smelt like poo but i enjoyed it, hahaha i started to mess around in the cockpit and presses something i wasnt suposed to, and some strange liquid, which wasnt gas cuz it was clear as water, wasnt flamable but im sure it wasnt water wither...drained from the wings...i didnt stick around to find oput what it was...i just left the place...
another little note on the LET... (N4047) i remember it had a nice lookin noseart of a hornet on the cowling...u can see the vague outline of it inur pic...

Thanks for the link. I love that bird, also... the one in my photo was actually part of the show that day; just a few mild maneuvers , but very cool to watch. I MUST have one!! (pounds desk). There was a licensed version called the Peregrine that at one point was being tested for supersonic flight (on paper, the design is capable of supersonic flight)... I'm not sure how far they got, but I do know they lost one during a test flight due to flutter near Mach 1. Tragic, but I'd be perfectly happy to keep mine down to a liesurely 450 kts or so; I think I could stand that.
