Didn't know that there was such a huge diffrence from the PMDG 737 600-700 to the 800-900  Shocked

Anywasy

What is the point of Acars I saw them use it in a video once were the pilot reported the weather by putting it in the ACARS but othere than something to look at why is it their

Also how do I turn that funky panel to the ordianry one that came with the 737-600/700 (please say you can take that off)

And last how do I get TCAS to show up?

Thanks

ACARS has no real function with the PMDG, it's just a neat thing to have Smiley

The panel layout can be changed in the PMDG menu. I believe you currently have the EFIS style, and the one you are looking for is the PFD/ND format. SWA, GOL and Air Europe are some airlines that uses the EFIS style layout which resembles how the earlier 737 panels were arranged

To get the TCAS to be displayed you must have the TCAS selector on either TA or TA/RA, you'll find this in the radio stack. Next step is to push the TFC button on the EFIS control panel and voilá  Smiley

I love the panel change after the 800/900 upgrade.  I think it's  great improvement and I'm glad it changed the 600/700 panel as well.  The original 600/700 panel looked too "cartoony" and too much like a cheap paper cut-out....and I like the fact that the new look of the panel shows a portion of the cockpit above the front window.
