Plane created in Gmax? (Read 297 times)

I have a plane, created in Gmax, what I was wondering is if I can use the aircraft.cfg, sound, texture, and air files from another plane, just to test it out ???
Do I need to change a bunch of things in the files, and if so what ???
I know I can the airfiles, because I have done that before, just renamed it, but not sure if I can do that with the cfgfile, or if I will have to create a whole new one ???

Thanx in advance  Grin

Copy the aircraft folder that you want to use and paste it to a temp folder(I use one called HOLD).You will have to change the  Model cfg. in the model folder to your model's name.Change the  air. file's name to that same name.
Change this in the cfg. file

title=your model name
sim=your model name "same as air file"
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
checklists=
atc_id=your info here
atc_airline=
ui_manufacturer="your choice here, this is what it will show up under"
ui_type=
ui_variation=Default,Custom,ect...
description=your info here
visual_damage=1

Open texture folder and Delete old textures and add yours.If you have a Panel,do the same with the panel folder.Contact Points are confusing if you haven't done it before.If you tackle it you can get plenty of help here.
