My laptop has a Mobile Radeon 9600/9700 64MB chipset.  Can someone please tell me where I can download up to date graphics drivers?  I tried the ATI website but it screwed up my system and had to run system restore to get the original driver back.

Thanks a lot.
Greg

ATI's drivers should work.

Your welcome to Omega's ATI drivers, though success is not garenteed.

Thanks mate.

Just wondering can you use the normal drivers for the mobile graphics cards?  There shouldn't really be much of a difference???  I'm just guessing.

ATI uses a unified driver archtecture.

Should be ok.

What does your first statement mean?  Sorry...

It's just that it doesn't show any settings to change after installing, it only has an overclocking setting that you can change.  It it only has the resolution 1280x768, and I need 1280x800.

Another thing.  When I ran 3DMark03 on the system without drivers, I scored 2397.  And after I reinstalled the official drivers, original ones, it went back down to a crap score of 649!

Thanks,
Greg

Don't worry about my first statement.

What it means is that ATI drivers, catylist (or however you spell it) work for all their cards (except the firegl ones, which does not concern you).
