I know a lot of people here give other people some grief for trying to start up design groups w/o actually knowing how to design.  I can understand the resentment because no one wants a leader that's going to simply sit back and do nothing.

So, I've spent a great deal of time trying to learn Gmax and I am learning at a great pace.  I put this together in about 3 hours tonight, and I was wondering if anyone (with some experience or not) would like to take part in the design process with me.  I'm not looking to slam you with work or anything, that's just not like me.  However, I would like to complete a project -- freeware, of course-- it would be very gratifying.  Anyway, I've began construction on a project.  Can you guess what it is going to be?

Hi Steve.

Hmm - 4 engines - could it be the basis of an A380? The wings look too far down the fuselage to be an A340 - and it's a different shape to a 747.

Have no expertise in GMAX but could help out with flight dynamics in the odd moments between flying (as a passenger) in the real world!

I am pretty sure that you will have tons of fun with that project. Good Luck.

Don't forget to get some Aspirin before you do this. I'm also pretty sure you'll need it along the way. Grin

Thanks!  I can't wait to get into it.

Thing is, I'm a little confused about this one thing-- ever since last night my gamx has been running VERY slow as in i'll clikc a button and it won't activate for like 5 seconds...this is very frustrating.

i always close up pretty much everything when i run gmax so i don't udnerstand why this would be a problem.

any idea?

Sounds like a great project. I tried learning G-max and...failed, but I'm going to try again and see where I get (might possibly buy that book on the internet that teaches you how to use g-max). Otherwise, I'd be interested in being a painter.
Thanks and good luck on the project.
