I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and uninstalling and deleting the folder manually but FS2002 keeps crashing back to the desktop! First it asks me something about traffic.dll, I click yes, it crashes back, I click no, it crashes back! I tried deleting traffic.dll and it just crashes back without warning!

Keep in mind I have done a complete uninstall already!

Right. Here ya go. Wink

Open the "Modules" folder and copy "traffic.dll". Then open the "FS2002" folder (the FS root folder) and paste it in there. Should do the trick.

I'm sure it will work. Same thing cropped up here some time ago. It might have something to do with WinXP.

Yes Hagar, you helped me out with my dad's computer doing that -- you said it had something to do with xp updates (before SP2) -- He did what you recommended and has had no more problems since -- again, thanks

I read with interest your problem of crahing to desktop, as i have also the same problem.
Can you let me know, if you can get fs2002 back to full screen after it minimises onto the taskbar and the fly without prolems?. I also was using MS2000, and my problem seems to have only started since i 'upgraded' to XP pro

Harry,

I'm not quite sure I understand your problem. Are you asking whether you can minimize Flight Sim 2002 and click on it in the taskbar and still be able to fly?

Yes, you can do that. However, if you are doing a long flight and want to minimize it and browse the internet at the same time, you will have to uncheck an option so it does NOT pause when you switch to another window. Otherwise, you'll be wondering why that flight from Heathrow to Amsterdam is taking 12 hours... Grin Grin Grin

Hi insert smurf here

I open FS2002, get a full screen and then  a small opening screen. Whether i select or create  a flight, as soon as i click FLY, fs2002 minimises onto the taskbar. I then have to repeatedly click either the minimised icon or the  the Tasskmanager to get the programme up and running. If i do manage to restore, i can use fs2002 as if nothing had happened, creating, selecting and flying as reqd. Hope this gives you a better insight into the problem.
