Hi Dave. I think you mean the MDL Repair utility.
http://www.simviation.com/fs2000utilities_gen2.htmPatching the MDL file with this utility should fix problems with most early 3rd party aircraft that are incompatible with WinXP. Note the bug is with the aircraft models & XP - not CFS1. It only affects some models, not all. This is obviously not necessary for a new install of CFS1 with no addons. There are 2 versions of the utility. If one doesn't fix it try the other one.
Fulvio. I just read through what you said more carefully.

In my experience the CFS1 Reinstall option doesn't seem to do much at all. If you've been using the Reinstall option please try the Uninstall option instead. Uninstall CFS1, then Install it (Typical install) to the original path. If your CFS1 is in the default location don't change anything. This always fixed most problems with CFS1. I suspect it will fix yours.
PS. This shouldn't affect your addon aircraft except for repainted/modified defaults. Depending on how you installed it, addon scenery will need reactivating from the Scenery Library.
