I'll admit I'm climbing into the cockpit a little late in the game as far as FS98-CFS1 is concerned, having only just started using them a month or so ago....   but what I've gleaned off this forum in roughly 2 hours has gone a long way to helping me figure out all the various little problems I've been having, and ones I can apparently "look forward to" as I upgrade my computer into the 21st Century... LOL.   I have a feeling my incompetence with most programs is going to lead to many long nights of me posting questions on this forum, much to the chagrin of you seasoned vets of it, so I thank you in advance for bearing with me.         THANK YOU for posting great add-ons, and for posting great advice.
Sincerely, the newest rookie, fresh out of flight school.

If you make it into RidgeRunners, let me know if I can help. I built my own p.c. and teach newbies how to fly CFS1 (Gives me free aiming practise, heheheh)  Wink

Grin Despite all the "latest and greatest" sims out there, CFS1 is still a great flight sim, with many customizable features the others don't have. It's a great place to start flight simming. Welcome to the club  Wink

LMFAO  at the target practice comment... too true for me to even think about....   I'm a veteran of the OLD OLD Star Wars flight sims, all you have to do there is practice slash attacks at high speed with alot of firepower, and no worries of hitting the ground, so I've found my actual skills are zip despite the gruesome kill scores I used to be able to rack up...  100-250 a mission...    so whatever training you can provide would be greatly appreciated, I'm lucky I can fly straight.....   though I have found using the F-104 from high altitude slash attacks has made some of those missions and quick  combat's turn in my favor pretty fast.....     well see you all in the not-so-friendly skies as soon as I figure out how the hell you get online with this game

http://zone.msn.com/en/root/flightsimulator/
This is the url for getting online - go down the list until u get to Combat Flight Simulator "Ridge Runners".
You can also use the multi-player link in the game itself although you'll have to close it before you can play on the Zone as the zone won't be able to launch your game otherwise.
