hi there!!
it's been quite some time since i last posted on the design forum... well, i have formatted my computer and now FS runs fine, so i'm back at work on the 737
however, the formatting took its toll on gmax... i'm getting a new error message and it seems to be directly related to the whole formatting thing...
look at it:
MakeMDL is asking for a MSXML4.dll file that i found to dwell in the fs2004 root folder
but i think it should be somewhere else, or else it wouldn't be asking for it...
does anyone know where it's supposed to go?
or is it amybe a symptom of something bigger?
i have already reinstalled gmax...
please help

Maybe you could try copying the DLL file into the Gmax program folder? Also, there's normally an INI file in the program directory that points the program to where the control files are - perhaps you could try that.

Copy the 3 msxml4(a, r) files from the FS9 root folder to the gmax folder containing your MakeMdl.exe and FSMdlExp.DLE files.
