This evening I started up FS2004; within ten minutes a strange flickering pixelated look began rippling across the screen.  Getting worried, I quit the sim and restarted my computer, noticing that the pixel effect was beginning to affect my desktop.  Computer reboots, I get to the XP password screen- and the whole thing freezes solid.

I remember reading something about this in the FS2004 forum, but I can only vaguely recall what the problem was (overheating, drivers?).  I just picked up a new 9800pro, so if it's the card I'll puke.  Any ideas?  ???

Sounds like it may me dodgey ram on the card or somthing??

Especially if its effecting your desktop too.  Though first thing to do is take off side of case and check the fan is spinning on the card when u turn on.  If its not then you might be lucky and just get away with replacing that.
