Hmmm. I need to confirm this. I've always been under the impression that what it says about registration on that website is true. I've also seen questions posted in various forums from people having problems reinstalling the blasted thing.

I always assumed that if you purchased a new PC with the OS or any other software installed it would be already registered. I can't see complete newbies being able to cope with that & what happens if they never go online? That's another thing that puzzles me about all this. Roll Eyes

PS. I've been wondering for a while now. What's this topic doing in the Hardware forum anyway. ??? Cheesy

Hi Eno. If you have WinXP installed you obviously know more about it than me. If what you say is true what's all this about then? Talk about confusing. ???

Not sure about Dan but I'm beginning to think I'm getting too old for this lark. I'm quite happy in my little time capsule. I'll leave all this messin' around to you younger fellers. Life's far too complicated for me as it is. Cheesy

Well, it wasn't you I was thinking of. I'm surprised it's been left here for several days now without one of the other loonies moving it. Roll Eyes They're usually quick enough to move other threads for no apparent reason at all. ??? Grin

Ah, now that would depend on what the pole is made of & how long it was to start with. Grin
