my final shots...the highlight of the day...the F-104 Starfighter.  8)

normally two flying cigars were expected, but allas one had some problems with the main gear not retracting and stayed where it was. this makes this event even more unique because normally ItAF Starfighters never go abroad alone!

i think everybody who was there that day wants to thank the pilot of this nice red jet. he performed a touch&go. after he landed, he taxied in front of us, waited a few seconds to let the people take a photo with his landing lights on. afterwards he taxied to the ramp, got out of his plane and went directly to the spotters. Belgian airmen had to grab him and send him to the officials. while taxiing but also when he got out of his jet, he went crazy...like a F-1 driver who won a GP...with his arms both in the air. you could really see how he was enjoying the attention at one of his last flights with the F-104...

flying overhead. the two F-16's aren't visible.

engine still running but they couldn't hold us anymore...
...

never been that close...there's really nothing between us and the plane!
...

special thanks to the people from Kleine Brogel who had the chance to welcome the only F-104 that went outside Italy this year! great work!
