Has anyone used the Lago Scenery Enhancer and if so, what is the verdict on it?

I have it. Although the premise is quite good, the rollout is not up to par. I also have had conflicts with it working properly when using Active camera, so choosing between the two, I chose active camera over FSE.

There were more problems and concerns with it than you could shake a stick at, as well as poor technical service/timeliness of updates, granted in their defense they have provided a new update that is about a year past due.

Now I have not reinstalled it lately since I patched FS9, and unsure if it still has issues with active camera, and presently not sure if I will.

Best thing would be to go to Lago's forums and read their support forum for FSE then decide if you want it, and if you already purchased it, I would still recommend reading the forum there.

I have it but it's only a shadow of what was advertised. Lago has been in some trouble lately and many employees and long time design staff have been laid off. Recently many customers have been complaining about the fact that Lago advertised FSE would come with an exchange module that would allow you to create objects and place them like any of the standard FSE objects but even after the lately released patch this still hasn't come about.

Lago has been defensive and misleading about when FSE will be fixed (if ever) and has promised a full working version of FSE to be released several times but never have provided it. There's also the quesiton of VAT which is charged to every customer who buys Lago product even if that tax isn't required because of the customer's location.

My version of FSE works well enough as it is but it wasn't what I thought I was purchasing. I had some trouble with a couple objects but the circumstances where this problem comes up is very specific and not really an issue with being able to use my FSE. Others haven't been as lucky and when they contacted Lago support they have been ignored, told to do stuff they have tried numerous times and been told that it must be something they are doing wrong and not Lago's problem.

Currently I'll hold on to what I have from Lago in hopes that they will fix what is wrong and live up to the name they have established for themselves but I refuse to purchase anything else from them until they do.

I think a lot of Lago customers are taking the same stance that I am and putting Lago on probation for the time being. It's a sad situation all around for everyone though.
