I've been playing w/ Carenado's , www.carenado.com , T-34 Mentor.  It's pretty nice.  Not too slow, but not too fast.  I just posted some pics in payware screenshots if you want to see.  It was my first payware and now I'm a believer.   Let us know what you find.

Best single engine is the FSD Pilatus Porter. goes anywhere, and includes a float version.

FSD International's Piper Navajo Panther is a great plane. I really enjoy it. It can get places quick (200+ speed cruise set up correctly) and it can fly slow fo those 'spots'. It is also a joy to fly, and and adds much realism to the simulator.

I seriously would have bought FS2004 if this was the only aircraft.

I give it 5 Stars.

There's also the Flight One Cessna 152 if you want a small easy to fly put put. I like this one especially because I used to fly the real thing. It's a sweet little airplane and flies quite authentically.
