One of the differance between wordpad and notepad is notepad will not open a large file. Not sure of what its limit is but if the file you want to open with notepad is to large it will not open it. If you have microsoft word you can use that. Also try changing the type to a txt file instead of a doc file, This might make a differance.

thanks for the reply guys  i have to point out that when i try to run wordpad to read the doc's it crash's on me come up with an error code have been to ms site to find the fault code but no good i am running windows me and this is the only doc i can not run at all every other  doc can read and access but this just crash's

what i am after is some one to open up the doc and copy it to note pad for me so i can access it to see how to use make mdl as i am getting nearer to completing my model i dont want to have the problem of not being able to create the mdl

so if any one can help please let me know ed
