I know. That fence is a bummer, but the pics are still ok I guess. Its a nice airport. Two HUGE Gulfstream hangers, a flight school, and 3 non-stop flights to atlanta through comair. Its a nice airport. Smiley

Are there any classic aircraft or rag and tube on the airfield you haven't showed us?  Anything with more than one wing is welcome by me Smiley

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

No there isnt.  Embarrassed But 20 minutes away from me there is a junkyard for old planes. They have DC-3's and other oldies. Smiley Next time I go by there I can take some pics and post them. But that might not be for awhile because I dont have a car so its all up to my dad. Tongue

By the way, is a 328 jet a rare sight or something? I see them all the time and dont think anything of it but some of you make it sound so cool or something? Roll Eyes

I hereby start a petition:

DAD:

Ben's been a good boy this week.  PLEASE indulge him and take him out for a day trip so he can take photos of real airplanes on their last legs.

I'll be over that way this weekend, and my dad said probably.  It's probably not as much as you think. Just a few rusty DC-3's. Wink

Must be quite a few Lears over there, I'm guessing? More interesting than my local airport, except for the fact that one of the older areas of the airport was converted into a WWII/Modern aircraft museum. But for the field itself, well... not much more than a couple lears, and a handful of Cessna's. Anyways, great shots Ben!

Later Days,

Brian

Thanks! Yes, tons of Gulfstream's. They do the finishing work on them at my local airport. And we have a few airlines. Not too much though. Smiley

We don't have any airlines at our local field (that I know of), just mainly personal and small chartered planes. Biggest I've seen there would be Hawker Siddly HS748, I think...

By Lears, are we talking biz jets in general?  Or Lears as in Bombardier's Learjet family (Learjet 40, 45, 60 etc.)   Wink

Biz jets in genral. It's mostly Gulfstream though. There is also a pretty good sized flight school at the field which I plan on attending in a few years. Smiley

Hi Ben...!

Just fired up my FS 2002, searched for your location, (KATW), with my FS Navigator, and flew around the area.
I was amazed at the size of the very large lake there..!
(What is it called)?
It was just the job to try out my new Tiger Moth floatplane... 8)...!

I also spotted Oskosh, (KOSH), a mere 16 miles from you... Shocked...!

Cheers Ben...!

Paul.

The lake is called Winnebago. I live about two miles off shore of that lake and have been fishing amd boating there many, many times.. It is very cool that I live less than 20 miles away from KOSH. I really got into aviation this year so next summer will be my first airventure! I cant wait! Smiley
