OK, since nobody seems to reply to my pics of the most beautiful aircraft ever built (F/A-18 Hornet) with any sense of enthusiasm, I'm deciding to post some pics that I took two years ago of a B-17G Flying Fortress when it was here in Seattle at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field.  Maybe since people in here seem to not care so much for modern combat aircraft, figured I'd try posting pics of old birds.

Approaching the beautiful aircraft.  The weather was pretty crummy... lots of clouds and light drizzle coming down.
...

Lookin' up at the windscreen and prop hub.  If you look closely, you can see my girlfriend and I in the reflection. lol  (Which is why I took the pic... I can send you a color pic at full resolution of only the hub to prove it)

...

This is looking at one of the waist guns, facing forward.  It was so increadible to be this close to an amazing aircraft like this!  They also had a B-24 Liberator there, but those pics didn't turn out too well.

...

For such a huge aircraft, it sure is TIGHT in that thing!  Wow, you can't even stand up straight!  It was awesome walking through the bomb bay also, pretty neat!  It really took some serious guts to actually fly and fight in this thing!  Amazing.
...

Here is a pic I took of one of the waist guns too.  The gun is facing forward toward the wing.
...

This is just an old pic I took of an Avenger taxiing past at an airshow.  One of my favorite pictures.  I just love the angle... too bad the people are there though.
...

...

Anyway, hope you enjoy these!  I love color pics, but when you're taking them of an older aircraft like this, I just think changing it to B and W just makes it come to life... ya know?  (And don't worry, all pics are VERY crisp in real life... I just did some editing to make them a bit blurry to look as old as the aircraft.)

Hi Boss. I replied to your previous posts. It makes a nice change to see things I don't get to see. Don't know why you didn't get more response. Roll Eyes

I can't see 2 of your photos (#1 & #4). Maybe you can fix them. Think I like the Avenger one best.

I've tried a few of my own shots in greyscale. Sometimes it can give a great effect but on the whole I prefer crisp, clear colour photos.

PS. Far too many of mine don't need editing as they're blurred enough already. Roll Eyes Wink

Nothing against you,but I've seen far too many pics of the Hornet and I'm not that hungry for more.
If the Hornets were Thuds or Super Sabres,it'd be a whole different thing.
