which runway are you taking off from.
Are you sure your compass is correct. try turning on flying tips and see if you get a message saying your heading is wrong when you make the change you should see your compass change to the correct heading. 8)
Although you can not adjust the actual compass there is an adjustment for the main heading indicator gauge and if this is not correct it may show one heading while your compass would show another. Every airport has a magnetic deviation and you have to correct for this other wise you will not be able to fly the correct heading.
I fly with the flying tips on although they can be bothersome it nice when it lets you know you need to adjust your alitmeter or adjust your heading.
And if there is one thing you want correct it is your altimeter. If this is wrong then heaven help you I hope there are no mountains in you area.

One thing I find very confusing is when I fly vertically up the Californian Pacific coast, looking at the map, I would assume that the compass would point Northwards,....but it doesn't....
...!
Actually it points Westwards, and I have to fly Westwards... 8)...!
Very confusing...
...!
We don't have that problem here in England where we are on the Meridian (zero degrees) Line, and to fly from Southern England to Scotland means we fly "North"...on the compass....
...!
...makes much more sense...LOL...
...!
(..to me, anyway..)...
...!
LOL...!
Cheers all... 8)...!
Paul....all this "Longitude/Latitude" stuff....
...!
LOL...

Hi jford
I had 90 degrees compass off set, when i was flying
Montana, The cause was a scenery I had installed
in Alaska. Addons Can work fine an cause problems in
other places. I would try undoing thing you have
add to or changed to the game

I have had this problem when I installed some add on scenery for Madrid Spain. The add on scenery installed okay, but then it seemed to kick out most of the default scenery. I don't think I did anything wrong installing the scenery, but a lot of the original scenery is just gone to the four winds...

Hi Ils
Well at this point I would make a COPY of the
Scenery CFG file, Delete the SCENERY.dat file.
Then I would Copy & past my saved DEFAULT
Scenery.CFG Back in and reboot. If that works then
Reinstall the addons agin
