Hello all,
I was wondering if there was a way to make a runway active? The default departure end of a particular runway is at the opposite end of the airport. I would like to open up the end closest to my parking spot for takeoffs on calm days. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks,
Mike

The easy way would be to change the wind in that area to blow in the opposite direction that the runway goes.
EX if the runway you want to use is 09 than have the wind come out of 180 and blow to 090 that usually is all you need to do .
I always keep a actual compas handy so I can make sure i get the direction right.
Rember one always wants to land & take off into the wind. 8)

Use AFCAD to open/close runways according to how you want.

Maybe I misunderstood the question I thought he wanted to be able to take off from that end of the runway. But if that end is labeled as closed than ROLLERBALL is correct afcad can handle that easy enough. 8)

Thanks guys for the replies.
Let me restate my question.
My curent runway is 17/35 Default departue end of runway is 35 I want to change that to 17. I also want to open a cross runway (5/23) for landing and departures as well. Can I open a cross runway? I have been messing around with AFCAD but so far no luck.
Thanks,
Mike
