My comments would be:
1. Because this is really not a "general interest" site
2. Movies can take up a lot of bandwith uploading and downloading (this site isn't cheap);
3. Movies can take up a lot of server disk space (and FS downloads are getting pretty large all in all)
4. We'd be addicted to watching Ozzy's baby spew all over creation - and the camera.

It's definitely a thing that will happen.
What Felix said is spot on - bandwidth is expensive & no matter how many 10's of GB HD you have movies are a great way to reduce that
However things are always moving & this will happen. Already we have mearly enough movies to make a specific section - I'm just reluctant to promote it as user satisfaction/bandwidth ratio is nowhere near as good as general addons.

Interesting - maybe a "section" of available movies, and feature several of them a week, instead of the whole lot.
Specific movies could be requested directly and popped into a "by special request" slot in the section, or provided by particular ftp link to the requestor, who must dowload it within 24-48hrs or the link goes "dead".

I'm waiting for the ability to have streaming video option - it's possible now but due to bandwidth & finances it's not feasable - where users simply click on a list of videos & they can watch as they wait for the download ...
Meanwhile what you suggest sounds a great idea! Definitely a pensil scratch in my notebook

From what Pete says, there are enough that have already uploaded movies...
After all, wouldn't you want to see my fantastic performance of a rhumba/samba?

I agree with the mods on this one, however I do have a suggestion, if it became something Pete was interested in. Perhaps a video software company would be interested in sponsoring all associated costs in exchange for some healthy advertising of their products/services....just a thought.
Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&

Good idea Hyperion.......
I'd go after Pinnacle Systems.
And I think the movies should be limited to aviation related content.

Yeah, I think if the photos section isn't going to be strictly aviation related, then the videos section shouldn't be either. Granted, the photos section is SUPPOSED to be, but it isn't enforced.
I think it would be a great outlet for people to showcase some of their other talents, assuming the associated costs were nullified.
