I know in the screenshot forums now there are image limits due to dialup users, and I understand why that is done, I used to have dial-up aswell and I know it's not very fast. I'm just wondering if anybody else would be interested in a seperate screenshot forum with higher limits for people with hi-speed internet and those without high speed internet who wouldn't mind waiting a little longer to have their page load. Is this possible without the forum clogging up, and what are the opinions of the mods and the "almighty" Pete ??? Thanks,
Andres

I think one of the reasons that Pete has set such strict limits is because larger files tend to bog down the forum and slow everything up. Over the years there have been several changes made in a couple area's to help keep the forum moving at a good pace (a prime example is getting rid of the old chat room). So, I doubt this would be a possibility.

the limits been around for a while, its only recently been enforced a little more. Like richie said it bogs down the forum, and will cost Pete more money in the long run

The only reason the mods have cracked down lately is that some people are really taking the mickey! We've had images over 1200 pixels wide, images that are 350kbs each, or my favourite 28 images between 50 and 100 kbs in a single post
Some of these are newbies and we're glad to help and advise them on the ways of our community, others are people who should know better and are doing the kidney dialysis machine bit
