Does FS 2004 have a building editor like 2002 pro?

Heya Brettt777,

When you're asking about a building editor are you asking about GMAX?  GMAX is a program that was included in FS 2002 Pro that you could build 3-D models of aircraft and scenery with.  Once finished with the 3-D model you could then import it into FS 2002.

If this is what you are asking (sorry but your question is vague) then the answer is no, it is not included in FS 2004.

Don't despair!  A freeware (new and updated) version of GMAX came out about a year ago and is available for download here:

I hope that this answers your question.  If your question was referring to something else please explain further.

gmax (1.2) is available in FS2004 CD-1  "Extras" folder.  That, along with the FS9 SDKs (see link in my signature) provide what you need to build airplanes and scenery objects for FS2004 (and FS2002, as long as you install correctly in an FS2002 Gamepacks folder).

At any rate, it saves you a large download.

Heya Felix,

It was my impression that the version of GMAX on the Discreet website had some patches and updates not included on the FS 2004 Install CD-1.  Am I wrong?
