When I  was starting up my new computer for the first time and setting everything up I put in 2.2 GHZ...but it wouldn't accept it and  Ihad to go down to 1.8GHZ does anyone know what the problem for this might be?

It is possible the motherboard won't recognise a processor higher than that, flash your bios and then try it again.

What motherboard do you have?

My system:Intel Q6600@3.6GHz, Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2-6400 (4-4-4-12-1T) , Sapphire 7850 OC 2BG 920/5000, X-Fi Fatality, Corsair AX 750, 7 Pro x64
