Hey folks:

In a related thread I'd mentioned some joystick issues.  There is one issue with my Saitkek Cybord 3D Force stick that is driving me batty.  I was hoping someone with more computer savvy might have some thoughts.

[Moderators: not sure if one is allowed to put images here. I thought it was relevant to my query.  But y'all are in charge! Smiley]

Every time I load FS, the throttle control is automatically set at 50%.  I open the game controller calibration menu (both from within FS as well as from the Control Panel>Game Controllers menu), and I see that the Z-axis is at about 50%, when I have the throttle controls all the way down.  I then play around with the throttle, and it then re-calibrates to 0% with the throttle all the way down.  Until I start the game, when it resets to 50% as the minumum value.

Until recently, if I adjusted the calibration at the beginning of the game, the throttle control would remain calibrated until I quit.  Now, it doesn't even do that.  No amount of calibration will keep the throttle control calibrated, and regardless of what I do, it calibrates to 50% as the minimum.  Please see the attached screenshot (.gif file) which shows what the minimum calibration appears when I open the window from the Control Panel.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the calibration window so y'all can see what I'm talking about.

...

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software a couple of times.  I just tried updating the drivers from Saitek's website -- apparently I already had updated drivers.

FYI, I use Windows XP Home Edition (with Service Pack 1), with a Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz processer and 769MB of RAM.

Any ideas
???

I guess I've to go back to my Logitech Wingman -- which is great, but doesn't have Force-Feedback, and is right handed  Sad

(Oh, and I emailed Saitek USA support.  Got an autoreply, from Saitek UK, with a number in the UK to call? Wassup with that?)
