Simple, none of the above is the answer. A ton is a standard unit of measurement that never changes.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Now....
When you've drunk a bit....... you'll take a while to answer that one.
Then again.... it's common bloody sense!

Well well well, to my prediction, I was right !
I'll review the answers.
2 tons of airplane
2 tons of feathers
2 tons of pencils
2 tons of paper
2 tons of stones
2 tons of cars
2 tons people
None of the above.
If you voted for 2 tons of pencils and 2 tons of paper, you're wrong, sorry.
2 tons of airplane
2 tons of feathers
2 tons of pencils
2 tons of paper
2 tons of stones
2 tons of cars
2 tons people
None of the above.
If you voted two tons of feathers, and two tons of people, very obviously, you're incorrect ! Sorry again.
2 tons of airplane
2 tons of feathers
2 tons of cars
2 tons people
None of the above.
2 tons of airplane
2 tons of feathers
2 tons of cars
2 tons people
None of the above.
My condolences but if you're a plebiscite for 2 tons of cars, you erred !
2 tons of airplane
2 tons of cars
None of the above.
I apologize guys, although you're a big fan of this, airplane is not the answer.
2 tons of airplane
None of the above.
SO
???
to all the smarty-pants out there who guessed None of the Above,
DA DA DA DAAAA !
(Cross your fingers)
YOU'RE STILL WRONG !
None of the above actually means that the choices provided are not the ones that suit the original inquiry, thus stating that other objects have the conceivable capability to answer the question.
The correct answer is : They're all the same.
Although None of the above could mean they are the same, it does not give a definte nor concrete answer as none of the above could define as many possibilities.
So we'll give the None of the above favourers a 50%.
Thanks everyone for this rather absurd poll and happy landings !

LOL, I'm beginning to not like you James....................................
When I was a kid (which I still feel like one
) my dad would always ask me "which is heavier, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers?" and I would always answer "gold of course" and my dad would always tell me that I'm wrong.............but then a while later, I found out that I been right all these years
I read it in some encylopedia (ye yah, hold all your loser remarks till after I'm done) that Au was weighed on a different scale, and a pound of Au was accutally heavier than a pound of something else
Jeff.............................see we learn something new everyday
I leared today that a "tsaress (sp?)" is accutally a female Russian absolute monarch, and not a brand of cat food......................................
