There is a company which produce high quality payware. They would be like every other software company if it wasn't for the very tainted past. I'm speaking of Ariane...yes I felt the same way when I heard they were going to release a 737. Their webpage was full of clichées and smarmy slogans. Could this be a serious competitor to the famed PMDG 737NG. The Ariane 739 comes in just ONE livery, the model is nice but not exceptional, however it's strength lies in the Virtual cockpit.

But just a little reminder; to tell you thruth I wasn't the guy who was supposed to make the comparison in the first place, since I basically SWORE not to buy that aircraft.
But things change, and with the event of my girlfriend moving to another city to study there, I have obviously even more time (hey is that possible?) for FS2004 and aviation in general.

I will blame boredom this time...that's what got me to buy that aircraft. Did I make a good choice, I have yet to make up my mind on that, so I'll show some pics.
Like I said before..the aircraft does not come with a 2d panel, so the 3d cockpit is your home  Wink

the cockpit changes colors as the ambient light changes, nice.  Smiley
...

The exterior model with the Alaskan Airlines livery. This is what bothers me most, you only get ONE livery when purchasing this bird.  Angry Alaskan Airliners in Scandinavia, talk about lost.....
...

The overhead panel, every button is clickable here, unlike PMDG this bird comes with a functional IRS (not shown)
...

Another shot of the Cockpit, it looks pretty good!
...

I'm not normally a 3d cockpit flyer, and I still have problems with having to turn my "head" just to change  NAV frequency (no short cuts are provided), but the most difficult task is to find a suitable landing view where I can see ILS deviations, airspeed, the ND, and my n1 indicators Sad This view was the best I could manage so far, instrument scanning isn't that vital in calm VMC  Smiley
...

So..is it better than PMDG? Not really, it offers a couple of things PMDG does not, but overall PMDG is more technically advanced, so going from that bird to Ariane's was no problem for me at all  Smiley

I own the Arianne 737-300 model.  I must say, I'm not very impressed at all.  Aside from the looks, the Arianne 737 does nothing for me and I doubt I will even think about purchasing the NG.  There is somewhat of a crooked history with them and PMDG is overall more deserving of my money IMO.

And I don't like the idea of having to purchase every livery.

nice shots...but it seems to me that this VC is a little more clearer than the PMDG but there is no 2D..which is what matters to me...

If you live in the UK or you listen to I'm sorry I haven't a clue on the radio, you might know this.

There was a crooked man,
Who walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked six pence,
Upon a crooked stile,
He bought a crooked cat,
That caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived happily ever after until he fell off his yacht.
