Hello! I have just started getting involved with FS9 aircraft creation. I have downloaded and installed the MS SDK for FS9. I have check out the FAQs here.

Now what I need is some experienced people to start me off on the right track.

Can anyone give me some advice or at least guidence as to where to get started?

I have all these SDK tools installed but how would I get started creating or modifing an aircraft?

Do I have to use Gmax?

Thanks!

Yes you will need Gmax and the best place to start too, is by working through the official tutorials that you can down load for Gmax.

If you don't have any working knowledge of 3D design programs these tutorials will help you to learn your way around the Gmax GUI. Without doing them first you will encounter sever frustration…You’re going to encounter it anyway.  Grin So take the time to work through the tutorials first. Try not to move ahead in their sequence. There is a progression to them that you can benefit from. By working this way you’ll have a base to refer back to when you need help on a tool.
