Is there a quick and dirty way to ensure that models/scenery you create in gmax (or import into gmax from Autodesk VIZ) will be at the correct scale when you export them to FS9?  I have the units set to meters but the scenery I created is ~50% larger than it should be when it appears in FS9.  If the model is created to proper scale within gmax, why should the scale be different once it gets into FS9??  Also, if I create a model in gmax with the units set to feet, then switch the units to meters just prior to exporting, shouldn't that automatically export the model at the proper scale?  I'd prefer to not have to guess at what scale factor to use and am not convinced that that should be necessary.

That depends.  If the scale is set in the Customize->Units Setup then it should be okay.  If you reset the size by Customize->Preferences->System Unit Scale->1 Unit=etc, etc, then everything will be out of balance.

Thanks EB.  Switching the Units from 'generic' to 'meters' took care of the problem.   Smiley
