I use both versions, some of my favorite aircraft are not compatible with FS9 so I have to.

I have FS 2004, (as well as FS '98, FS 2000, and FS 2002), but prefer to only use FS 2002 for all sorts of reasons.... Wink... Grin...!

Between my two machines, I still have FS98 through FS9 installed, including CFS1, CFS2 and am about to reinstall CFS3.

Of course, which one I USE, is a different matter ...  I haven't opened any of them in a long time, and then mostly to play around with the Abacus WW2 Carrier fighters package.  that Hellcat is Beautiful!

Hi ALROT... Grin...!
After seeing the amazing difference between FS 2000 and FS 2002 when it first came out, and having spent so many hours on FS 2002, it has now become an old friend which I know very well indeed...and I like to hang onto my old friends...LOL... Grin...!
...not to mention all the many add-ons that I have installed to it over the years.... Wink....!
...so FS 2004 is still on my hard drive, but it doesn't see the light of day very often... Grin...!

There are many things I much prefer in FS 2002 over FS 2004, and the list is too long to post here...LOL... Grin...!

Cheers ALROT.... Grin...!

Paul.

P.S. ...sorry Uncle Bill.... Maybe FS 2005 might make me change my mind... Roll Eyes....?
LOL...LOL...LOL...!

I have both versions but I only have FS2004 installed right now. I also have FS4 for Mac somewhere. I have all three versions of CFS too. I have CFS2 and CFS3 installed but I only play CFS3.

Hi I have 98 2k2 acof cfs1 cfs2 cfs3 and IL2 Forgotten Battles. I don't use 98 any more I want all the goodies, moving flaps etc. Iget frustrated with acof on my computer as I can't have all the detail and smoothish flight. Cfs1+2 I use occasionally. Uninstalled cfs3 as it developed a fault, so my time is divided between the rest.

I've had FS9 since February and like it alot.  After reading these posts and the compatibility guide I went out and got Fs2002 and really like it alot too.  I'm getting a better frame rate (30 as compared to 10-20) and I can use all my favorite aircraft from FS98(some of which look really good) and FS2000.
