Had a problem where I had to reset the CMOS on my computer. While I was putting all the BIOS settings back to where they should be, I just noticed a setting for AGP Window Size. I'm not exactly sure what this is. I set it at 128M. I figure this has something to do with either video memory or chipset bit rate.
Could someone tell me what this does. What should I have it set at. The card has 128mb ram and a 256-bit core.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

The AGP aperature setting is kind of a buffer setting so the PC knows how much memory to allow the AGP bus to use.
I think AGP allows the graphics card to access system memory directly for processing textures if it needs to.
Ideally, half the PC's RAM could be used, but I reckon that would choke it. You were right in choosing 128mb as the option.

Benching I noticed no difference with it set at 128 or 256. I have 1gig of ram but left it set at 128 as I thought it doesnt really need the 256.

Thanks Congo, I've been wondering that myself.
What do computers and air conditioners have in common?
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.
