not sure about the camera, but the lens...that probably costed a few hundred euros, not to mention 1000

pic like that was probably takin with a 4 thousand dollar Canon 1D Mark II and a 6000 dollar lens. Most likely, dont know if its digital or not but it looks sharp enough to be takin with a dslr
yea you can get a PIC like that on film, but to get it look that good on a computer... you need a hella nice scanner
Still have a nice PC but I just switched to a hella nice mac

well guys, i send an e-mail to the guy who took this photo. i asked him i'd like to know what equipment he used. he told me it was a Canon 100-400mm L IS lens (as i expected) and the camera was a Canon D60. here you go. again another good reason to convince my parent to buy a 100-400

100-400 is a 1500 dollar lens, its only f/4 though. I am looking at a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L right now.

hey, i didn't know you where also interested in photography?
in the Anet forums, there's an interesting discussion going on about the 100-400 or the 70-200 with convertors instead.
the 70-200 as you said has a wider aperture, but the focal length...not enough for airshows
it's light though (half the weight of a 100-400) and has a third generation IS, the 100-400 only a second generation.
both are extremely high quality lenses...but also expensive. i hope i can afford one of these two next year
