Waterzone not working (Read 424 times)

after installing waterzone.zip. I went flying to look at the water. and nothing had changed.
The installation process asked me to replace some file witch i did (I had made a backup). according to instruction every thing should be fine

is the waterzone only good for ocean. or is it supposed to work on all water plane.

my setting a at max

please help.

Not sure but is that a water texture enhancement? If it is it may be your video card. Some cards don't support the highest qulity water settings. In that case there is nothing you can do to improve the water textures except buy a new video card.

My real video card had to be return to ASUS it had artifact. I will get it back in a few week.....

Then my guess would be the video card. I have terrible water textures myself with a GForce 4 card. No way of fixing it so I'm just waiting until I put my new system together.

install new drivers and put the water slider to the max

Waterzone is an add-on here that improves water textures. Its great.
The question is what kind of video card are you running? With which drivers? And what version of DirectX are you using?
All these are important factors, also do you have 512mb of RAM or more?

here it is
nvidia latest driver 61.76
video card gforce 4 mx 440 (wating to get back my ti4600)
memory 768 meg ram (512+265 ddr 333 mhz)
I have direct X 9 installed(and patched) but I think that my card support DX8.

do i need a card that support DX9 to have it looking like the pic? if yes well i am not about to change again for at least 6 month ($$$$ not a good time).

please provide any info you can

Not sure about 'Water Zone' for fs2004 though. Remember FS9 uses different textures ..

Why not try one of the water textures specifically created for FS9 ?

The MX4 is the problem, the Ti4600 can handle it perfectly Wink
