Nothing puts me to sleep faster than the gentle whisper of a turbine...I'd sleep like a baby in that house!

I don't believe that you chaps really mean that. I remember mentioning in another thread that my uncle lived on the Heathrow approach when I was a young lad. Aircraft passed very low overhead every 2 minutes or so in those days. Of course, this was heaven for me when I visited but I never understood how he could live there. When they eventually managed to drag me inside for my tea the picture on the TV set turned upside down every time an aircraft passed overhead & the sound went all garbled. This made it impossible to watch & I never saw the point of him having a TV set in the first place. My uncle said he was so used to this that he didn't notice it any more. This was before the days of cable.
If that shot is genuine (I'm not saying it isn't) & allowing for perspective it's still far too close for comfort or safety. I reckon that if anyone does actually live in that house they must be completely mad.
PS. jrpilot. Unless you took this shot yourself I don't see how you can be so certain it's genuine. If ever I saw a candidate for a fake photo it's this one.

If it is real (and it does look a bit fake around the outboard starboard engine) then it's really just a matter of shooting through a long focal length lens. No big deal, but it is a nice shot of the plane...

If it's real, it's more of an optical illusion created by the distortion of a zoom lense. I really do not think it's as spectacular as your eyes tend to believe right away. The 747 is not actually passing directly over the house. The house is in the foreground. Powerful zoom lenses can really screw with depth preception.

I the plane were anywhere close to the house, you'd see the shadow.
The plane's in the background.

If the plane is in the background, which is quite possible, any shadow would be on the far side of it. From the gleam on the side of the fuselage the sun is positioned somewhere behind the photographer. I'm sure it's further away from the house than it appears but it's still far too close for my liking.

I'm not gonna declare it fake, but if you look at the rear fuselage, the reflections on the underside look like runway markings.

Well of course you are going to have runway reflecxtions...if you noticed where the sun is...the and how close to the runway is it would reflect part of the runway to his bottom
