Gee, I guess this gives it away a bit, ........I am hoping to keep up with the progress and show how it comes together, in the coming months........the target date for test flight is sometime in Oct....
.......also, an amphibious float kit is on the way to make this a truly versatile ultra-light ........

Well, I guess I haven't been keeping up to date on this one.........I remember the first image from this thread like it was only just last summer..........look at what happened today......I never got an inflight due to a thing called work, but I did see a few circuits as my job sits just outside the base leg for the regular pattern of Courtenay Airpark...........

My friend Dale had a smile on his face which even a Zamboni couldn't remove.........I saw him shortly after completing his maiden flight ..........totally elated that the project has finally come to the flight stage.....still some hours of proving to do, but its all uphill from here...

Ah, so that's what it is. I remember you posted the first photo before some time ago. I don't recognise the type but these little things are becoming very popular over here these days. Probably the most practical way of owning your own aircraft.

Once the amphibious floats are mounted, I'll get a shot of it in that config to show how "going fishing" has a special meaning now to this fellow..........

.........BTW, the bird is a Quad City Challenger 8)

The Volmer has been re-engined and has much more power now....will climb/cruise/and maneuver at over 80 now although the Vne is going to need a closer eye, with all this new power........best part for Dave though, is if he intends to fly off water, he is better suited to break the surface tension and climb away with abandon at will in this new config.....as summer progresses, I'll try to get you more images ........ 8)
